[Mike was up with a start looking around. Mayfield, still this hole, still, why was it he thought he had memories growing up here. Completely nonsensical ones, maybe getting up and looking around the house would help. Probably not though, it was still a prison. Putting on his flight ring he let out a breath and started downstairs.]

[Phone]

"So uh, is the town trying to do something weird today? I thought I had a dream about growing up here, and a few odd memories. Thing is, I know they're fake, cause they say Ted never existed. This place normally dicks with us on holidays, right?"

[Action 2] Around Town

[Booster Gold is on patrol... Sort of. He's flying around town looking over places with a bewildered look.]

"How the hell could I ever confuse this place for 25th century Gotham? I mean, I'm not being shot at and I'm just up here in the air. Ugh."

[He sits next to her and shakes his head.]

"C'mon Mae. You have much better taste in men than me. I mean... There is the hint of a memory about a wedding, but I've been through mind control before, they leave out important things and this is missing them. You can see things wrong too, right?"

...Yeah. I remember the wasteland. And Charon, Charon was there. They don't have ghouls here so I would have had to be there.

[...only then she remembers going to her first school dance here and winces.]

...this is mind control huh? ...can't say I'm a fan.

"Yeah, I'm thinking so. Ted was my irregularity. I'm guessing the wasteland is yours."

The thing we remember?

"I dunno, that thing that's really important to you that whoever is making all the fake images forgets cause they wouldn't know."

Oh....

Yeah....I guess. ...maybe they forgot about it.

"Or didn't have the information. I dunno."

[He tilts his head a bit]

"Are you going to be all right here?"

I'm fine.

.....do we have any paper? I need to write some of this down before I forget it again.

"Yeah... Tons... In the cupboard. Got some pencils too."

Great. I'll give that a shot then.

Maybe it'll help me remember.

....what about you? How are you doing?

"Eh, I got a few odd thoughts in my head, I can feel it in the edges, but I've been brain washed so many times in the past I think I'm pretty resistant to it anymore."

You've been brainwashed here a lot?

"Here? No. Not here. Back home I had my troubles with it though."

You had brainwashing back home?

"One of these days when you want to hear something that'll keep you up at night I'll tell you about Max Lord."

Impressive name. We'll have to have a scary story night when this is over.

"Definitely, but not now. When we could use the laugh from it."

Maybe when it's over and we can remember everything.

"Sounds like a plan Mae."

[He nods a bit]

"I was going to go on a walk to clear my head, you're welcome to come if you want."

....Sure.

Might help me too.

[Get's up, stretching her arms from sitting like that for too long.]

"If anything, maybe making fun of some of the dorkier places here will help us shake it."

Lead the way then. I still get lost in this place.

[That was silly, why should she get lost in her own home town.

-UGH!]

"Was just going to hit the park. I really don't want to go to the hospital today but sure."

[He nods]

Oh good. I know where that is at least.

[He nods]

"Lets go then."
