[Mike was up with a start looking around.  Mayfield, still this hole, still, why was it he thought he had memories growing up here.  Completely nonsensical ones, maybe getting up and looking around the house would help.  Probably not though, it was still a prison.  Putting on his flight ring he let out a breath and started downstairs.]

[Phone]

"So uh, is the town trying to do something weird today?  I thought I had a dream about growing up here, and a few odd memories.  Thing is, I know they're fake, cause they say Ted never existed.  This place normally dicks with us on holidays, right?"

[Action 2] Around Town

[Booster Gold is on patrol...  Sort of.  He's flying around town looking over places with a bewildered look.]

"How the hell could I ever confuse this place for 25th century Gotham?  I mean, I'm not being shot at and I'm just up here in the air.  Ugh."

It...I guess it did. I still can't remember a lot yet. But it's more then what I was trying to figure out earlier. I know I definitely didn't like the joker. [Laughs a little.]

Two Face. [He says the name distastefully. Even without all his memories intact, there's something about that name he really dislikes.] Pamela? Oddly enough, this place replaced my memories with apparently her being my favorite ex-coworker. [Weird.]

I feel like we're ten year-olds being scolded when you explain it that way. And I've gone through brainwashing befor-oh. [That came out so naturally. What even. Mouth moves faster then his brain apparently.]

You're sounding pretty smug. But I also get the feeling not everything you one knew had been replaced. I just need to figure out twenty-six years of my life now. Shouldn't be too hard right?

"Actually, I think they tried to do it to everyone, just listen to the phones, just I have so much experience with mind nonsense I was able to shrug most of it off. I KINDA know the reprogramming they want, I mean... I can feel it, but, they forgot something important so, it all fell apart."

It seems like the levels differ. It seems some people had been affected completely while others weren't even affected. [Curse your selectiveness Mayfield.] But at least now that I can confirm I'm not going nuts, it makes a lot more sense. Needless to say, I still feel like I'm going a little nuts with everything contradicting itself. But it's like playing a game. [Like Riddler's stupid riddl-why did he think Edward was his upperclassman? :|]

I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but it might be better to not be completely effected by whatever is going on. I think I've talked to a few people who had it worse.

Thanks though. It helps to have others around who can knock some sense into me without literally hitting me to do it.

I don't know if it would be allowed to get published here. It seems that things here are pretty selective. I'd read it though.
